LINDSAY JORGENSEN

DANCER | CHOREOGRAPHER | EDUCATOR

Lindsay Jorgensen is a performing artist, choreographer, and educator whose work prioritizes movement research, collaborative process, + multidisciplinary storytelling.

Jorgensen is a dancer with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and performs with Buglisi Dance Theatre and Ballet Nepantla.

She has previously performed with American Repertory Ballet, MorDance, Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater, and VALLETO. She has performed at renowned venues including Lincoln Center, the David H. Koch Theatre, Madison Square Garden, and Battery Park Dance Festival, and works by Alvin Ailey, Paul Taylor, Lorin Latarro, Patrick Delcroix, Blakeley White-Maguire, and Michael Trusnovec.

Theatre credits include SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE (Ensemble, Dance Captain/APAC), GREASE (Cha Cha/APAC), THE PROM (Swing, Asst. Choreo/APAC), and EVITA (Assoc. Choreo/APAC).

As a choreographer, Jorgensen’s work has been presented by Connecticut Ballet, and showcased at The Mark O’Donnell Theater, Bell Works, and Ailey Citigroup Theatre. She is the founder of In Process, a choreography lab created to support emerging artists while developing her evening-length dance theatre work, FATALE. Her poetry was also featured at APAP and Women/Create, reflecting her commitment to storytelling across artistic disciplines.

Jorgensen serves as Rehearsal Director for Pony Box Dance Theatre and is Adjunct Faculty with the Theatre Department at Fordham University. She has also taught for Steps Youth Program, Montclair State University, the American Repertory Ballet Trainee Program, and organizations nationwide, teaching ballet, pointe, contemporary, floorwork technique, composition, and improvisation.

A graduate of the Ailey/Fordham B.F.A. Dance Program, Jorgensen earned departmental honors in Dance and graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Dance and English. She also holds a graduate certificate in Creative Writing from University of Pennsylvania.

Through every performance, rehearsal, and classroom, Jorgensen is dedicated to fostering curiosity, creativity, and meaningful artistic connection.
